Pediatric Speech Pathologist:

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time, contract position (10-20 hours per week) at our Lakewood Ranch, FL location. The role offers flexible hours with the potential for an increase in hours as our client base expands.
As a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist at Word Therapy, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing treatment for a range of communication and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients. You will work closely with children, their families, and a team of healthcare professionals to create and implement tailored treatment plans that foster development and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to families regarding treatment goals and progress.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments and techniques in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders, as well as effective treatment methodologies.
  • Proven experience working with children with speech and language impairments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and their families.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional growth in the field.
